From
the Desk of Pastor Aaron
New Beginnings
Another
academic year is upon us here at End Time Harvest Bible College. In
all, we have a little over 120 students now enrolled collectively. We
have fifty-seven students enrolled in the full-time degree
programs. Our Saturday Program is growing by leaps and bounds,
giving opportunity for those who work to increase their biblical
studies and become better equipped to serve in their churches.
It is an
interesting class of students we have received for the Two-Year
Diploma class. We have a gentleman who is from Nigeria, but has
lived in Ghana for the past few years. He felt God calling him to
attend Bible College, and he has now answered the call. In addition,
there is a woman here from Sierra Leone. Many years ago, she fled
her nation because of war and became a refugee in Ghana. Later, she
joined a church about two hours away from where we are located. Through
the television ministry that we have, she saw us and was led
by God to attend Bible College!
Apart
from
these two individuals, we have such a diversity among the students.
Normally, those men and women who attend Bible College have a few
years of Christian growth in their life. But this class has many who
are very young in the faith. One such young man was watching our
television broadcast in June and gave his life to Christ by watching.
He then saw that we were advertising the Bible College and felt God
leading him to attend.
There is
also a young man from Kumasi, a city nearly five hours away. He came
to our area one day to visit a relative and saw our sign board, then
God touched his heart to attend this school. What is interesting
about this young man is that he was raised as a Muslim his entire
life, when a little less than two years ago, he received Jesus Christ
as his Lord and Savior. He is now an enemy to his home and even
recently had to go into hiding because his family was looking to kill
him.
So far in
the first three weeks of school, over 200 have accepted Jesus as Lord
and Savior! The churches that we were connected with are also very
committed, and the pastors accompanying the students continually
stress the need for follow-up so the new converts do not “fall
through the cracks.”
Even
before leaving for the US this summer, God had been impressing me
that when we begin our next academic year, I must stress to the staff
and to student body one word…INTENSITY.
Why
is God leading me down this path? I believe that the majority of
Christians have reached a point of stagnation and luke-warmness. The
devil, according to Revelation Chapter 12, has come down to the earth
having great wrath (intensity), because he knows he has but only a
short time. If believers, and specifically the students who are
enrolled here at ETHBC, are going to be able to impact this
generation for Christ, we must be able to not only match the devil’s
intensity, but must go beyond it. Therefore, we are seeking God to
increase our intensity in everything that we are doing: our prayer
life—both individually and corporately—evangelism, hospital
visitation, prison ministry, crusades, and missions. Everything must
go to a higher, more intense level.
It is an
exciting year on the way, and we look forward to sharing with you as
the year unfolds. I want to thank you partners for being with us
each step of the way! God bless you!

Student
Testimonies
My
first encounter with the school was on the spiritual aspect. A
two-week fasting was declared to empower the students for soul
winning, hospital visitation, and spiritual transformation. God
did a mighty move in following this time of prayer and fasting. God,
through us, has brought souls into His kingdom, including Muslims.
Through God's empowerment, I prayed for two children that were on
oxygen. Afterwards, there was great improvement. God also touched
an elderly man who had suffered from a mild stroke. His hands and
feet began to move after we had prayed with him...it was so exciting
to watch!
Academically,
the school is well equipped with seasoned lecturers, and they are
very confident in all they teach. These lecturers have imparted
much knowledge into my head within this short period of one month.
More importantly as they teach, they allow the Holy Spirit to move
and direct the class. These same lecturers also give godly counsel
when necessary.
Morally
speaking, the school not only training men and women, but is more
interested in building our character. Lateness, immoral
conversation and other related rude attitudes or behavior are
strictly prohibited. This is creating an awareness that a man
or woman must not only preach the Word of God, but be a doer of the
Word.
A
Letter From Grace…
It was a
sad day knowing that our trip had come to an end. As we said goodbye
to Mum and Dad, everyone was sad. With the final goodbye , mum and
dad left for the car, and I knew they were crying. Aaron stood at
the car and cried like a baby, even after their car was gone. Then I
asked myself how many of these partings we would have to go through
before Jesus comes, or before he calls us home? I also asked myself
how many of us will cry because of what God has asked us to do but
still do it.
Have you
ever cried and still said, “Yes Lord, I will go where you want me
to go and do what you want me to do?
I am so
proud of Aaron because, even though he cried, he still said “YES.”
I know God sees that and He will surely bless him. As the plane
landed in Ghana and seeing how different things were as compared to
the States, I felt more proud of Aaron, and I remembered what Jesus
said, “he who has left the family for my sake I will bless.”
Please know
this, that there will be times that God will ask you to do, say or go
some where that you will cry, but I pray that you
will cry and still say “yes, Lord” because you love Him and
you want to do His will. SO HELP US GOD!
